WHO WE ARE
Expert clinicians who care
You’ll work directly with Norm or Mary, not a rotating cast of clinicians. That means more continuity, a provider who actually knows your history, and a treatment plan that adapts as your life does.

Mary Fisher, APRN
She/Her | Caring for children, adolescents & young adults (ages 10+)
Specializing in trauma-focused therapy and behavioral health, including ADHD assessment for youth
Mary brings 30 years of nursing experience to her work with children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Northern Virginia. She is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and Family Nurse Practitioner, holding a BSN from Radford University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. Her practice focuses on helping young people navigate anxiety, mood concerns, ADHD, and the everyday challenges of growing up, with families closely involved throughout the process.
A first visit with Mary begins with genuine conversation rather than a checklist. She takes the time to understand the full picture before recommending next steps, whether that includes therapy, medication, further evaluation, or a combination of approaches. Families often find this thoughtful pace reassuring, especially before any diagnosis is made.
In addition to her clinical work, Mary holds a faculty appointment at the University of Virginia, serves as clinical faculty for nurse practitioner and medical students, and is a past president of the Nurse Practitioner Association of the District of Columbia. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Norm Jacobowitz, APRN
He/Him | Caring for adults (ages 18-64)
Specializing in psychotherapy for men and medication management for adults
Norm treats a diverse set of individuals but often his psychotherapy practice focuses on men, a population he has found is often reluctant to seek support, and equally difficult to match with the right provider. His approach is direct and practical, centered less on labeling a problem and more on understanding what is happening and determining the best path forward. In medication management, Norm works with adult patients across a range of conditions, always aiming for the lowest effective dose with the fewest side effects.
Outside the office, Norm enjoys Auburn football, exploring Thai cuisine, and spending time with his wife, son, and extended family.
